Yarn Activities

This activity was so fun!  My kiddos loved it.  And it was so quick to set up. 
Our color of the weeks is blue.  So why not have some fun blue activities!

 Items you will need:
Yarn
Scissors (child friendly)
Tape (I used painters just because it is safe on most surfaces and it comes off easily)
Bucket (to catch the yarn clippings)

 Set  up:
Tape strands of yarn onto your counter or table.

Activity:
Have child cut they yarn into the buckets.

Developing Skills:
Color recognition
Motor skills
Eye/hand coordination
Holding scissors
Cutting


Check out what we did with all those yarn clippings:

Ordered the strands from smallest to tallest.

Estimated and measured the yarn.

Put stickers on the number that had the correct guess.
